Over the next year, I am preparing for something pretty special. I have been selected as one of four adult volunteers taking 36 young people from Lincolnshire to the World Scout Jamboree in Poland.
It is an incredible opportunity. The Jamboree brings together tens of thousands of Scouts from all over the world for two weeks of adventure, cultural exchange, and experiences that stay with them for life. For many of the young people attending, it will be their first time travelling abroad and a real step into independence.
What many people do not realise is that the adult volunteers do not get a free ride.
Just like the young people, I need to raise the full £3,800 required to take part.
Why I Am Reaching Out
I am currently looking to partner with local businesses who might be interested in sponsoring my journey.
As someone based in Lincolnshire, and part of a unit proudly calling ourselves The Flying Farmers, it feels right to reach out to the businesses that make up our local community, particularly those connected to agriculture, engineering, and rural life.
This is not simply about asking for a donation. It is about building a partnership that benefits both sides.

I want to be upfront. I am not offering polished corporate sponsorship packages with guaranteed reach. I am a volunteer, not a marketing agency.

Why It Matters
Scouting has had a huge impact on my life. I started as a parent helper just a few years ago and have worked my way through to leading an Explorer Scout Unit. Being selected for the World Scout Jamboree is something I am incredibly proud of.
This opportunity is not just about me. It is about helping deliver an experience for 36 young people that will shape their confidence, independence, and outlook on the world.
